Mental Health & Well-being
At Anamata , we provide primary mental health support tailored for youth.
Our mission is to create safe, inclusive spaces, that foster resilient healing, customised to meet each individual's unique needs.
We are dedicated to dismantling stigma and promoting lasting well-being. Our counselors employ a diverse range of skills and strategies to empower rangatahi to navigate life's challenges with confidence and strength.

Our dedicated youth workers are here to offer mentorship, guidance, and support—whether you're facing personal challenges, setting goals, or just need someone to talk to.
They're committed to walking alongside you, helping you grow in confidence, develop life skills, and navigate your journey with encouragement and care.
-
Our mental health clinicians are here to support you with brief psychological interventions—often known as talking therapies—that help you manage whatever might be going on for you.
These sessions focus on helping you understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and explore new ways to approach challenges. We'll work alongside you to build practical strategies you can use in everyday life, and between sessions, you'll have the chance to try out what we've discussed to help strengthen your wellbeing and confidence.

Our wellbeing team is dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive space for our takatāpui rangatahi.
This is a place where you can truly be yourself—free from judgment, pressure, or expectations. We honour your identity and experiences, and we’re here to build trust, foster meaningful connections, and walk alongside you in your journey. Whether you're looking to meet new friends, share stories, unwind, or just be in a space that feels like home—this is your space, your people, your time to just be you.
Our Pride Packs meet once a week during lunchtime at Tauhara College, Taupō-nui-a-Tia College, and Reporoa College, as well as once a week afterschool on-site at Anamata.
